Citysearch's new and notable section features some of the best places in the city that have opened within the last few months. Now that 2012 is over, it's time to look back at the best of the best of these new places.
One of the hottest restaurants in town. You have to order the pizzas - they mill all of their own flour in the basement. It's a scene, so don't expect a quiet conversation, but you definitely won't be bored.
Make sure to get that darn (famous) miso butterscotch shake. Also, don't skip the deconstructed Chicago hot dog.
The source of most of Chef Paul Kahan's amazing, locally and sustainably sourced meats. Buy them retail or stop in for a sandwich.
The octopus gyro is one of the best things I have eaten all year.
Well priced French food right across from millennium park.
Wonderful new chicken shack - the sides are even better than the chicken. Get the garlic fried rice!
One of the best openings of 2012. Make sure to get the Kale salad and the sweetbreads.
The finest of fine dining in Lincoln Square, but without the pretension. Chef Iliana Regan's forage-based restaurant will blow your mind.
I didn't know what low country southern food was until I went here. Wonderful seafood, great cocktails.
Atmosphere can't be beat. Plus, they have a vinyl library so you can chose your own soundtrack. Get the crispy black eyed peas - actually, get 2 or 3 orders.
My favorite new sushi place - plus, it's tiny and romantic. Do the Omakase and taste the freshest and best in the store.
Grill marinated meats at your table. Eat seafood pancakes. Repeat. Smile.
