Just because it's a holiday doesn't mean it has to be a rip off. It's the thought that counts! Take your honey somewhere that's not hip or expensive, but with heartfelt service and lovingly prepared food.
Great meze especially the pide, a baked pastry stuffed with cheese and vegetables or meat. A very filling and affordable dish! A pretty place in a not so pretty neighborhood.
Old school pizzeria and by that I mean checkered tablecloths and plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Like stepping back in time and the pizza is as good as it ever was.
The pierna enchilada sandwich--think of it as Mexican pulled pork is ridiculously good, but so are the Puebla specialities like huaraches and quesadillas with huitalacoche (that's corn smut).
A very romantic and pretty little restaurant with a good selection of both vegetarian and lamb dishes. The aushak ravioli are a must order dish, delicate pasta filled with leeks and topped with two sauces.
Spicy and exciting food, and very reasonably priced, there's no atmosphere but they do deliver citywide!
