There's so much to love here, from the meaty subs to the perfectly curated grocery selection (high-quality oils, pastas, cheese). Love the down-to-earth, old-school staff.
A stone's throw from the El and a darn good spot to grab a Daisy Cutter and a burger (on a tasty pretzel bun, no less). TVs make for a decent spot to watch the game too.
Hard to find words to describe how great the sandwiches are here! Menu rotates, but try the meatball if possible. Great deli case for dinner, picnic,etc. Killer burgers on Tuesday nights.
Best darn banh mi downtown. Try the Hen House if you dig chicken. The bao is so good you can pop it like candy. Awesome pho too.
