You don't have to be Japanese or be in Japan to enjoy authentic Japanese foods. LIttle Tokyo offers a variety of Japanese cuisines to accommodate any palate, but outside of Little Tokyo and onto the west side is where you'll find the exclusive, hard to get into restaurants and one of the best sushi spots in Los Angeles.
Mochi ice cream distributor has a free standing store in little Tokyo where they make fresh mochi ice cream with flavors you can't find in their packaged goods from the market.
Best ramen in LA. There's a long wait so make sure your phone is fully charged.
Very very expensive but this sushi place is probably the one place you want to eat before you die.
Chicken everything! Heart, gizzard, name it they got it. Meat on a stick! Get there early or else they'll run out!
If you don't mind the $$$ the sushi is mouthwatering. The sushi chefs know exactly what they're doing and make sure you leave a happy camper.
The most exclusive restaurant in LA, you better know someone who knows the owner or else you're not getting in! :)
It's a restaurant but you feel like you're in a local bar where everyone knows each other and you're there to have a great time. Oh and the food is also great. The quality of their beefs are better than any other shabu places in southern California. They cut the meat in front of you so you know it hasn't been sitting in the freezer for a while.
Not your traditional ramen place, it's a "dip ramen" place.
It's a "make your own" type of ramen place. They give you a sheet and you check off what you want in yours. Easy, simple, great staff and consistent food. The wait isn't long and sitting at the bar isn't bad.
A well balanced meal here includes the Tokushima ramen and chicken karaage. You'll be full and and happy to go home satisfied.
