A lot of new restaurants have popped up in the last year, but these have proven to be winners that will have serious stay-power.
New gastropub concept from Casey Lane. But not your normal, ho-hum gastropub, but more of a fancified version. Think decadent bone marrow, perfectly executed pot pie and some of the best lentils I've ever had. And the cocktail menu is legit too.
I'm in love with this place. This restaurant is a good time. Friendly and helpful wait staff and their pastas are crazy good. The smoked bucatini?! Good gracious, yes!
Amazing, interesting coffee paired with great breakfast. The brioche smothered with Sqirl jam is the move. Keep in mind that this place doesn't have to-go cups so you must enjoy everything there.
If you love Peruvian food, this is your place. Chef Ricardo Zarate makes classic Peruvian dishes gussied up a bit. Think quinoa made in the style of risotto, fresh, beautiful ceviches and seco made with high-quality meat. Total win.
Southern food in los anglers. I dream about their pickled shrimp salad. Their biscuits are heavenly too.
Perfectly executed and relatively simple, Italian food. Oh and their pizza? Is now my favorite in all of Los Angeles.
New restaurant from Chef Josef Centeno. This restaurant's menu is inspired by the tex-mex cuisine cooked by Centeno's grandmother. The queso app is like velveeta on crack--so good; the puffy tacos and Rancho Gordo beans are must-orders too.
