They don't have to be meaty to be good. Here are some of my favorite vegetarian tacos in Los Angeles.
You can't go wrong here. Seafood soup is always tasty, so is the scallop burrito. Veggie tacos have actual veggies, and the salsa bar is always fresh and full.
Meat eaters should try the slow-roasted conchinta pibil or the soulful mole. The mushroom tacos are a vegetarian delight. Nachos are a crowd pleaser.
Stumble out of Footsie's and into El Atacor, where drunk food lives. Potato tacos are greasy, sloppy and hurt so good.
Not worth it when the line is long, but if it’s short, grab a breakfast burrito--chorizo is decadent but not ungodly. Potato tacos are a good veggie option.
Cacao is the real deal.Try the mole chilaquiles, duck tacos & mole fries.Good veggie ops, whole wheat tortillas on request, & agua frescas.
A little Mexican, a whole lot Vietnamese. Try pho beef tacos with smoky salsa or crispy potato curry tacos. Rare beef pho broth is super flavorful, Mi Quang is delish.
A comfort food haven of non-meaty goodness. You can even get grubby. Think: Chili cheese burgers, hard-shell tacos and Kind Kreme sundaes.
Comfort food for the vegan set, but meat-lovers love it too. The Tu-No Melt satisfies & won’t give you mercury poisoning. The Reuben rocks!
As good as the original. Way crowded on the weekends, but the conchinta pibil, chicken mole, and agua frescas are so worth the trouble. Spring for the sampler.
