There is nothing better than walking into an Italian restaurant and receiving a greeting from an Italian grandma-looking lady. You know the sauce is going to rock.
One of the few very authentic Italian restaurants in Chicago. Sapori is fabulous, plus they always have some sort of special deal going on. Mangia!
Part of the reason I love my new 'hood is because of the gems of restaurants in the vicinity. Pizza Rustica is family-owned (the husband/wife chef/manager team is awesome) and their "large" pizza is actually the size of a HUGE pizza sheet - it's kind of like two pizzas in one. This is an Italian gem that locals and non-locals should rush to.
Do. Not. Miss. The. Truffle. Pizza. Or the Italian beer. This is Neopolitan at its finest.
