I was recently asked where I'd spend my last $20 in Atlanta and it gave me a lot to think about.. Would I blow it at my favorite place or would I spread it out a bit? I'm a big fan of cheap eats and I chose the latter. Espresso drinks from my favorite shops ( I couldn't choose just one), froyo, a brew, a bit of cheese from my favorite cheesemonger and a fried peach pie at the Varsity are just a few of my favorite things.

Star Provisions packs quite the gourmet punch into such a small space - a local farm stand with fresh veggies, a nationally acclaimed cheese shop, a meat counter with house cured charcuterie, a mouthwatering bakery and a sandwich shop that elevates dishes, including my favorite, the shrimp po boy.
The grande dame of the local coffee scene is holding its own after several years. Booze is now into the mix & they make a killer Manhattan.

From Piedmont Park to Inman Park, the new paved segment of the Beltline is my current favorite place to be in Atlanta. On sunny days there isn't a better place to get some exercise in the city with plenty of time for people watching.
Fro-yo steps away from the park using Johnston milk & organic yogurt - the watermelon flavor should not be missed.
