No one really wants to go on a coffee date, it’s the go-to suggestion when you don’t know whether or not you really want to invest the time and the cost of a meal with this instagrammed picture of someone whom may or may not be cute once you see them without their ski goggles on or that massive fish in their hand! So what else can you do that would be fun, allow you to catch a glimpse of their personality with a low commitment of time and is easily escapable, if it’s not a match? A walk along the waterfront, chocolate tasting at Cacao, browsing the Saturday Market or wandering through the weird & wacky at the Peculiarium, all better than just sitting around sipping a coffee.
Beautiful park just blocks from NW 23rd. Walk the 2 or 5 mile loop past creeks & small waterfalls. Moss covered trees tower over head creating a cool canopy on those hot summer days. Bring the kids, the dog or the mouse in your pocket. Bathrooms and drinking fountain available at the beginning of the trail.
If you've rolled all your loose change and now wonder: what can I do with this roll of nickels? Head to the Avalon theater and the wunderland nickel arcade where all the games run on, you guessed it - nickels! If you don't catch a bargain priced movie, you need to pay a small cover to go into the arcade. The games aren't the latest technology has to offer but it's a fun afternoon for the kids and kids-at-heart.
The sampler of drinking chocolates is a sweet way to add richness to any afternoon or evening out. 1 sampler is rich enough to share.
The entire course glows in neon bright colors and it's impressive not amateur. Birthday parties, team building, date night, fun-time-all-the-time. Some graphics may frighten little ones under 5. Prices are reasonable and a smart park is just around the corner
A treasure trove of quirky sci-fi visuals, an ice cream parlor where you can " put a fly on it", nostalgic candies for sale and free to walk through! Great stop If you're wandering the NW blocks.
