Your local food & dining guide for Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.
Cheap hot dogs how ever you like it. Don't like it Chicago style? (Blasphemy!) Add what you want on it and how you like it. They were way ahead of the gourmet hot dog food trucks.
Come early for dim sum. Come late for family style dinners. Lobster plate is good. Recommend pan fried rice noodles with Chinese broccoli
A simple place staffed with friendly Turks. Pizza is thin like the east coast. Beer is ample and fairly price. A neighborhood joint of Andersonvile.
Honestly, you can't go wrong w/ anything. If it's your first time, you MUST have the duck. Grab the duck dinner if you have more than 3. I love the beef w/ Chinese broccoli on pan fried noodles.
One of the best beer lovers bar in Chicago and the USA. Add the amazing Belgian food, you're guarantee to fall in love and come back.
Very gay friendly pub in A-ville. Double pint specials are great way to rehydrate after soccer matches. And their burgers always hit the spot.
Enchiladas are full of noms.
A hole in the wall with absolutely fantastic al pastor. Cooked fresh from the spicket & shaved off as you order.
Little neighborhood bakery with delightful brunch and sweets. Definitely have a sinker.
Ridiculously cute & welcoming coffee shop. Made with metropolis coffee and brewed with craft & love.
Cheap taco grub for beforeand after concerts. People like the al pastor, but I prefer their carne asada.
A cool cat's place in uptown taken out of the 1920s & brought to modern day. Great beer menu & phenomenal food. Try the burger.
Great local pub with a Irish feel bar in the front and dining in the back. Decently priced beer and good fish and chips.
Open 24/7 and great for quick cheap Mexican food all times. One of the better places to get al pastor tacos on the north side.
As the chicken craze heads north, this place isn't your hole-in-the-wall in-and-out chicken diner. Their birds are succulent & mouth watering delicious. And let's not forget the sides. Spicy cabbage and the plantains are fantastic.
My favorite Ethiopian place in Chicago. Love their sambussas & their azifah selata. Their mossabs are phenomenal.
BYOB. Delicious sushi for very reasonable prices. Small, intimate but stands out.
The same wonders of the Bongo Room, just on the northside now. A brunch haven.
