Sitting out on the sidewalk of Sunset Plaza to have lunch at Clafoutis is the closest thing you will come to an afternoon on the French Riviera in LA.
Love their gnocchi here! One of the best in the city! You wouldn't expect such good food in their location (fancy strip mall), but it is great. The space is small, which is perfect for a romantic night.

Sor Tino is a lesser known but equally delicious sister restaurant to celebrity filled Ago on Melrose. The best is their outdoor seating, which is covered and heated during the colder months.
Hopefully Bottega Louie is a good sign for the future of DTLA. It's always busy and the food is great. Pastries are reminiscent of Laduree in Paris, which is no small compliment.
Let the cheesemonger pick the plate. Each Thursday there is a new menu. Great place for a date.
