A visit with my in-laws in Cincinnati inevitably leads to some delectable eating and fine drinking. Here are some of my favorite Cincy indulgences.
An absolute staple for Cincy folk. This Greek-style chili (rich, semi-sweet meat sauce atop spaghetti noodles and crowned with a mountain of shredded cheddar) is a must when in town. Ask for a 5-way "dry" and try a cheese Coney or two on the side. It's bizarre but oddly addictive.
The best ice cream I've had anywhere (it's all in the chewy chocolate chunks). You haven't lived til you've had a cone of Buckeye Blitz. And one of mint chip. And you'd better try one of their handmade chocolates too.
All you gotta know is this: the pretzel buns will forever change your life. Eat one and see. Seriously.
The chicest hot dog joint you'll ever find. Grab and Old Fashioned from the bar and dog into the amazing duck fat fries followed by the Asian-inspired Hello Kitty dog.
Love this spot for its hella strong Bakersfield Margarita! The flavorful chicken mole taco is a must-try too.
