One of my favorite buildings in LA. My mom was an urban planner and used to take me there as a kid. Historic, classic, and not too far away from awesome Downtown LA restaurants.

My favorite hiking spot in the LA area. Not too crowded and yet just minutes from the city. Kind of romantic too for an active date idea.
Great food and cocktails, but I love this place because its not too loud so you can take people that you actually want to have a conversation with. Leave your huge loud family at the the thanksgiving table!
