Once it was cool to be a hipster, than it was cool to hate them, and now everyone is just confused. Whether its to laugh at them or try to be like them, its always amusing to hang out where they do. These are their hubs.
Certainly a one of a kind music venue. A must see for out of towners that want to check out a hipster scene that isn't obnoxious.
Actually decent music (rare in the hipster world) and cool vibe. Considering that it used to be a tranny lounge, I must say its gotten quite a make-over. Love the artwork they display.
They know what to do with all the eggs in my basket (ie, get the eggs Benedict).
Great for burgers and hipster-watching. Actually, they pretty much make any sandwich incredible cause I wanted to taste what my friends were having.
The one-stop shop to looking like a true hipster without looking like you stepped out of Urban Outfitters. Fun selection of sunglasses to in case you need to shield yourself from the paparazzi.

My very favorite Santa Monica comfort food fix! Gluten free mac n cheese that I didn't even know was gluten free!!! Mind. Blown.
Good hippie food without the hippie smell.
Artwork, live music, delicious hot chocolate, a retro tiki-esque vibe, and free wifi. What more can you ask for from a coffee shop?
