First dates are awkward. You don't want it too romantic, but you also don't want to be in a super loud club, barely seeing your date. These places are modest and even provide some mild entertainment to help with the dreaded "awkward silences".
Awesome venue with relaxed vibe and artsy decor. No waiting in long lines like most pretentious LA venues.
BEST comedy venue in town! Big name headliners and even novices like myself perform here. Great beer and wine menu too incase you need the comedians to get funnier.
Awesome selection of figure-friendly food. They even have an impressive selection of gluten free items!
Actually decent music (rare in the hipster world) and cool vibe. Considering that it used to be a tranny lounge, I must say its gotten quite a make-over. Love the artwork they display.
One of LA's gems. Perfect for when I want to get my thighs in shape but still bring my dog along.
My very favorite Santa Monica comfort food fix! Gluten free mac n cheese that I didn't even know was gluten free!!! Mind. Blown.
Great open mic every tuesday and fairly easy parking right across the street. Easy parking in Westwood is like unicorn! Take advantage!
As a comedian, I HATE open mics. But the Ha Ha has the best one that I actually love. Friendly patrons and staff so it doesn't feel that bad even if you bomb.
Steaks and burgers that make vegans reconsider.
It's right by my house and a great spot to meet my friends after work or a day of shopping at the Beverly Center just a few blocks down. I'd actually go here by myself just for the fries.
Feel like you're ten again in this quirky, glow-in-the-dark mini golf course! No need to be Tiger Woods.
