Last weekend you laughed for hours when you were informed Portland has Laughter Yoga classes. You're not ready to sign up just yet but laughter is definitely on your weekend to-do list. Here are some of the funniest places in Portland for a night of comedy. National comedians take to the stage at Harvey's and Helium Comedy while local improvisation is side-splitting funny at The Brody, Comedy Sportz and anywhere The Unscriptables perform. Dom Improve at The Fun House Lounge is belly laughter at it's best and sometimes yoga moves are performed too!
A friend of mine took improve classes here for a year. As if our relationship wasn't funny already, it's now perfectly timed. The weekly shows are inexpensive and fun-on-the-fly.
Whether you're needing a place to work for the afternoon, meeting a friend for coffee or lunch or enjoying one of their many evenings of entertainment: poetry slam, music or art; it's hard to find a more appealing and friendlier space.
Love this theater and the $3 buck shows! It's the same Mcmennemen's food as the rest, pizza, burger and hummus plate. Grab a glass of Black Rabbit wine or a Ruby, sit back and enjoy the show. Look at their online calendar for monthly events including Miss Kitty's Parlour Show - which is a variety show not to be missed for laughs, entertainment and something unique.
With comedy acts 5 nights a week, Helium Comedy Club is a pretty sure bet for a night of laughs. Get there early, order a drink and then hop in line for the general adm seating. The tables are amply spaced the waitstaff is on top of their tables needs. It's a good time.
It's a fun-house with lots of laughs when you attend an improve show here! Some of the best entertainment value around. Stiff drinks, friendly service.
