San Francisco has no shortage of amazing pastas, from handmade to traditional to Cali-influenced. Here are some of my favorite places to embrace carbs in all their glory.
Some of the finest Italian food in the city. The Parmesan budino and the "foie gras" ridged pasta with Marsala are epic dishes. Wonderful wine list, top-notch service. A worthy splurge.
A San Francisco favorite I return to again and again. Always love their burrata, their fresh pastas, and of course a pizza at the counter (be sure to request their hot peperoncino oil). The wine list is full of excellent Southern Italian choices.
One of my favorites for Italian in the city. Excellent salumi (best in town!) and handmade pastas (especially the trademark agnolotti dal plin). Quality wine list (nebbiolo heaven), and a perfect business lunch or dinner spot.
One of the city's best pasta dishes is here, the mandilli al pesto. Just try and find a better pesto anywhere--you won't. Nice new roofdeck space, too.
Chef Matthew Accarrino is one of our city's most talented chefs. His salads, burrata plate, and pastas are top notch. He's also making his own chocolate-caramels. Love getting turned on to new wines here. Bar seats are my fave.
