Swing by and see proprietor Sweet Pea for all your pulp needs. The shop is wonderfully designed and has a great selection of new and used books plus a fine collection of letterpress posters. Don't miss their Wayzgoose each April.
The galleries are stacked with pieces from artists around the globe but don't miss the hot shop theatre and hands on activity center for kids. A fine shop and restaurant with waterfront dining round out the offerings nicely.
This large convention hotel manages to feel like a cozy boutique outfit in a big city. Stylish, comfortable & quiet guest rooms, plenty of swanky public spaces, a hip restaurant with solid fare and killer happy hours, a gym, a tremendous glass collection, a salon and a day spa make this a stellar place to lay your head!
Don't miss a visit to this small university gallery. What it lacks in size it makes up for in careful curating of local and regional exhibits and installations.
On any given visit the darlings of the international contemporary art world (think Warhol) hang in galleries adjacent to northwest masters of the past (think Graves) and they all get along swimmingly. The museum also hosts a lauded Biennial which celebrates emerging and mid-career artists of the region. A kids area, a nice gift shop, free admission each 3rd Thursday and an in house-cafe are a plus. Don't miss (well you can't really) Scott Fife's 'Puppy.'
