LA is filled with writers and Starbucks has always been the place of choice to write outside of the house. There isn't much to offer as far as inspiration goes, though. Try out these places in Los Angeles for people watching, beautiful sights, accommodating writing spots. Let the muses come!
Another example of an exterior that doesn't give away the delicious treats inside. This is a great morning place. Apparently I'm not the only one who recommends their croissants.
This place is irresistibly adorable. It looks like a restaurant in 1920's Paris. Really great happy hour!
Everything you want in a coffee shop: lively, but accommodating so that you can get work done or meet up with friends. Lots of good teas.
The Moroccan/Southern Spanish look here is so warm. Ordered some tea and a creme brûlée after dinner. This is a perfect way to spend an afternoon or cloudy day.
This is one of the dive-iest dive bars out there. The crowd is really fun, friendly and up for karaoke.
I used to come to this cafe a lot after school. I love their sandwiches, especially ones with Brie.
What a wonderful place to picnic or hike. The hikes can be long so better to start in the morning. There are some waterfalls, even, but we had to rock climb to get to it!
Alcove is a sweet little spot in Los Feliz. It is very charming. Their lunches and desserts are so good. Pick a comfy spot under a shady tree on a sunny day.
The staff here is so cute in their French uniforms. If you have never been here, come with your sweet tooth ready for lots of pastries.
Cheap lunch place! Sandwiches are quite good. They also offer boba style smoothies. A more comfortable, less cliche alternative to the typical big chain free wifi offering coffee location.
This is a perfect little coffee shop. The glass doors make you feel like you're outside without letting you get too chilly. Good place to meet friends.
