Sometimes we just need some space from our co-workers, roommates, family, friends, and "fremenies". These places are relaxing, not overly crowded (most of the time), and perfect for when you just want some time away from everyone. These places are perfect for your dosage of "Me Time".
My mom used to go here when I was a kid and I'm so happy its still in business. Just like the youthful skin you'll get, this place withstands the test of time.
Hands down, one of my favorite So Cal beached and a great surf spot. Love this spot for surfing because of the quality and amount of waves. Bring your long-board!
Perfect if you're in a mood for a throwback. This drive-in movie theater projects modern movies with admission that's 60% less than what a typical movie theater ticket might cost.
LOTS of free parking (which is like seeing a unicorn in LA), great picnic areas, and solid basketball courts. Even the bathrooms are decent for a public park.
Such a great spot in the heart of Beverly Hills. They have great basket ball courts, baseball diamonds, and even lawn bowling! Yes, I'm totally not too young for lawn bowling!
My favorite hiking spot in the LA area. Not too crowded and yet just minutes from the city. Kind of romantic too for an active date idea.
This places is one of LA's hidden beauties. With over 200 different kinds of roses, this is also a great date spot or an Instagram opportunity.
Got a great facial and massage that at least made me LOOK and feel less stress. Too bad they can't massage away my worries.
Wow, there needs to be more joints like this. Free wifi, great food, friendly atmosphere, and non touristy for Hollywood blvd.
Artwork, live music, delicious hot chocolate, a retro tiki-esque vibe, and free wifi. What more can you ask for from a coffee shop?
Cute little Santa Monica park with a great grassy lawn area perfect for picnics. Also has a 2 basketball courts and a nifty playground for the kids (at least thats what my nephew said).
