We all know the stereotypical laptop-toting artsy types ride the Blue Line...and like their fancy pants coffee. Are you one of them? Or simply looking to expand your latte repertoire along your commute? Grab a cup at one of these spots.
I'd like to marry this coffee shop, or at least its namesake drink, the Ipsento. It's laced w/ cayenne & coconut milk & just delish. Free wifi & a comfy spot to hang.
You haven't truly had coffee til you've been here. Go for the featured pour-over or a perfectly swirled latte. Food is from Pastoral--yum!
Always jammed, especially when the farmers' market is happening right outside the door. Tasty Metropolis-based coffee drinks.
Amongst the Starbuckses and Caribous, this is a ray of independent sunshine! The lattes are truly art. Love sitting on the deck in summer.
By far the most adorable storefront in the city. Plan to Bring your laptop & stay awhile. Pies are great, of course, but do NOT overlook the buttery biscuits.
Love the java drinks here. A few things to know: Only one size (smallish) and no wifi. But don't let that scare you off- this place is fab!
Somewhat pricey drinks are completely warranted here. I love the lattes (their swirls on top are works of art). Great place to sit and work. Munchies? Try the oatmeal or banana bread.
Great java AND an '80s theme?! Almost too good to be true. Try the not-too-sweet vanilla bean latte.
Expertly crafted drinks and a welcoming crew of baristas make this the ideal spot to wait for the Chicago bus or the Blue Line. Love the real-time bus- and train tracker.
