Even though it's the center of Houston business, sometimes it can be hard to get a decent cup of coffee. Here are some of my go-to places.
This restaurant draws the downtown lunch crowd out of the tunnels for its diner-esque fare. You'll find a variety of blends for a caffeine jolt, as well as tasty treats.
The rare coffeeshop that's not Starbucks downtown, you can get a good cup of coffee here and a well-priced soup/sandwich combo for lunch.
Upstairs, grab a quick lunch or fresh groceries and staples. Downstairs, grab a glass of wine at the warm, welcoming bar. If you're looking for some coffee or tea on the go, don't miss the fresh pastries, too.
This "bar" serves up liquor and booze, as well as coffee and lattes. Enjoy it right at the bar with a dessert or pastry or get it to go.
Low-key outside spot of famed Montrose joint. You can enjoy a cappuccino or coffee right on the park.
Part grocer, part lunch spot connected with MKT Bar. You can find house blends of coffee and teas in the back, along with signature creations like their Zohrab’s Chai.
