Nothing is worse than feeling like the walls are closing in on you... which is exactly what it feels like if you're living or visiting NYC. Get out, eat something and people watch. It'll clear your mind and satisfy you on many levels. These restaurants are some of the nest in NYC with outdoor eating.
If you're sitting outside (which is the only place you should be sitting if you wanna see and be seen) strain your eyes and look across the street at the paparazzi waiting to take the pix of Sarah Jessica Parker or some other NYC celeb who frequents this joint. Oh, and the food is freakin' amazing too!
I think I've lived in every neighborhood in NYC in my 18 years of being here and this place was the only reason why I was seriously thinking of not moving again. On a warm, sunny day, going here makes you feel as if you've made it in this life. Enjoy the views of the Hudson river while sipping on summery cocktails and shooting some yummy raw bar food.
This is where I went for my anniversary, my birthday, mother's day and probably father's day. I love it here and it doesn't even matter that there's an ugly awning outside right now. This rustic french bistro, set in the Meatpacking District, has a mouth watering menu and a fresh atmosphere. Prosecco and Oysters while eating outside makes me oh-so-happy I could scream!
When I was single, I would casually recommend my gentlemen suitors to bring me here. Little did they know I was just using them to buy me the best fettuccine bolognese I've ever had. And I'm not even a fan of that stuff. This charming, casually romantic restaurant is my favorite place to eat in all of NYC. Plus, they have an adorable outdoor garden decorated to feel as if you're in the country side of Italy.
This is why I live in NYC... because you can hop on a subway, head downtown and eat some of the best thin crust pizza in the world. Yes, I said, "world" folks! Not to mention, their outdoor seating is the perfect way to kick back on a summer's night.
When a reclaimed wooden table lures you into a restaurant, you know it's gonna be good. The next time you're strolling through the West Village, stop by here and throw back a gin martini and some grilled squid. Your day will be that much better. Oh, and be sure to get a seat outside. You can judge people as they walk by while they can be jealous of you for being where you are. Perfect, huh?
Be sure to get here early or you won't get a seat. This hoppin' Inwood restaurant is the home of some fine Mexican cuisine and super cool drinks. The best way to eat here? Outside! A perfect night = drinks, food, friends and people watching. Oh, you can also bring your babies. They are stroller friendly! We love that!
First off, give it up for the spelling of their name! Secondly, put your hands together for hotdogs, pretzels and beer under an outdoor atrium in the Standard Hotel, where the customers are sexy and the prices are shallow. If this isn't heaven, then you can punch me in the face.
Believe it or not, there are certain places where people want to simply sit outside and eat a fine meal without being bombarded by the hustle and bustle of the city. This place is one of them. It's modest, charming vibe allows for a pleasant evening, filled with yummy food and friendly staff.
Hmmm... I'm in the mood to drink, eat and dance in NYC. Bu I'm also in the mood to be on an old boat. But I also want to hear live music. And I also wanna be outside, flirting with hot, sexy people who are into exactly the same things I am. Too bad this is only in my dreams. What? What's that you say? The Frying Pan? Really? Okay, see ya!
