Sadly sushi isn't one of San Francisco's strongest culinary offerings, but at least there are some spots around town where you can score some quality nigiri. Bonus points for delicious AND sustainable places, like Sebo and ICHI.
Probably one of the nicest sushi chefs in town, and Jin also sources some pretty fresh and tasty seafood (he'll tell you what to get). Good neighborhood spot--it's easy to swing by and grab a seat at the counter.
One of the better sushi spots in the city--very exacting sourcing, with sustainability as a priority. Best seat in the house is at the counter--feels like sitting at your friend's kitchen counter. Omakase is the way to go if your wallet agrees. Have tasted some extraordinary seafood here.
One of my top spots for sushi in SF--the presentation is unique, with some cool Cali touches (including excellent sourcing and care). Sit at the counter, bring your plastic, say "omakase," and let the ride begin.
