One of the most popular restaurant weeks in the city will be here before you know it at the end of July. The following are some of my favorites worth making the trek downtown
Max Lager's will tap their High West Barrel-Aged ”My Cold Scottish Soul” Cask on Friday & their Cask-Conditioned “Imperial Mocha Oatmeal Stout” on Saturday in celebration of American Craft Beer Week!
Just steps away from Philips Arena & the Georgia Dome attracts a great crowd before and after the big game and features a deck with an excellent downtown skyline view
Max's lays claim to the only coal-fired pizzeria in the state of Georgia, in the vein of famous NYC pizzerias Lombardi's & Grimaldi's. You can opt for the traditional margherita or get fancy with your pie with premium ingredients. If interested in making pies yourself, Max's holds interactive pizza making classes, complete with apps, wine & pizza tossing. Mangia!
It's Oktoberfest year-round at this temple of German food and drink. An expansive patio affords views of Downtown Atlanta. They're proud to serve a full section of German beers on draft in addition to bottled beers with an emphasis on brews from Europe.
Parking is free but tricky to fine. Swing behind the building to Peachtree Center Avenue and ring the buzzer after hours.
Noni's is a fun Old Fourth Ward restaurant specializing in Italian sandwiches and pastas. My go-to selection is the farfalle with pancetta cream sauce. Stay tuned to their social media sites for details on late night dance parties
