Fried, rotisserie, BBQ, Greek-style, in sandwich form: Chicken's suddenly un-boring when you spring for it at one of these joints.
Ultra budget-friendly spot where the smoky scent alone is worth the price of admission. Love the pita w/ the juicy chicken. A low key gem!
Always packed for a reason! Food is fun & cheap (try the El Tico w/ ribeye & the delish oatmeal shake) and it's BYOB. Heads up: Cash only.
Sandwiches rule the menu, & the best are the tender pork and the BLAST, a spruced up BLT. Make sure to wash it all down w/ an oatmeal shake...and don't forget it's cash only.
Go for the rib-sticking Southern fare during the week (the mac & cheese is legendary) and for the busy bar action on weekends. The open-air summer scene is especially nice.
Not only is there legit Greek chow here (try the sweet/savory chili), but there's pantry items direct from the motherland. The Greek owner is sweet & the service is competent.
Some of the tastiest pulled pork around. Best washed down w/ the housemade moonshine. If you wanna drink the BBQ sauce (I do!), buy a bottle
Diner fare is trendy @ this near-perfect spot. Best service in town, IMO. You must try the fried bologna sandwich-just trust me. And the mille feuille for dessert is worth a trip alone.
The perfect spot to step out of your comfort zone, thanks to fried gizzards, bbq frog legs, and pickled lamb tongue. Uber-friendly service just sweetens the deal.
The roasted chicken is unbelievably tender and the plantains are a must-try side. Sweet, gracious service.
Wear your elastic pants and stuff yourself silly on the award-winning pulled pork, brisket & ribs. A combo platter is the way to go. Stay for the live tunes Wed-Sun nights.
Best darn banh mi downtown. Try the Hen House if you dig chicken. The bao is so good you can pop it like candy. Awesome pho too.
Sheer perfection. Try the grilled tofu, soba noodles, and mochi for dessert. The daily draft cocktail is fun and affordable. Good pick for vegetarians.
