The West Seattle Farmers Market runs all year, rain or shine. Spend a lazy Sunday picking up some of the best treats Seattle has to offer at the market and businesses along California Avenue. A lot of those treats are sweet, so walk off a few of those calories with a stroll through Camp Long. If you're too tired to cook your bounty after all of that, save your groceries for the week and grab some Thai take-out at the delicious Buddha Ruska before heading home.
They've been making their own ice cream for almost 80 years!
A lovely spot for a stroll, and check out the Seattle Parks website to see what events and classes they have scheduled here.
Always a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Get cider from Rockridge, mushrooms from Foraged & Found, fish from Loki & produce from any number of great farms.
It is normally hard to pry me away from my Thai standby - phad kee mao - but the curries at Buddha Ruksa can usually make a compelling case.
Excellent cupcakes, scones and quiches. Bonus is kids' area at back. Perfect place for parents to catch up with each other and other adult friends over lattes & scones while kids work off their mini-cupcake sugar high in the play area with toys, books and each other.
Whenever in West Seattle, stop here for beautiful pastries, macarons, intricate confections, and baguettes that are the pick of many Seattle food folks-in-the-know.
Great selection, growler fills, tastings most Thursdays.
