Some places are known for their hot chocolate, their macarons, their ruggalach, and others are known for their CAKE.
It was a scary time the two years I worked on Belmont Ave. because the siren call of Bittersweet called me every lunch and coffee break. Many a cup of coffee, tea and even more pastries and cake were consumed (and selectively landed on my ass). It was worth it.

For years, Dinkel's had my FAVORITE cupcakes in town. Like, favorite favorite cupcakes. And although other trendy little 'cakes shops have popped up, Dinkel's is here to stay. And it will probably always be my favorite.
Delightful may boast some delicious pastries, cakes and a stellar tea list (alongside some amazing seasonal eggnog), but don't go for the service. They kick you out if you're sitting at a table too long and the owner possesses anything but Midwestern charm. However, if I still go back for the cake knowing all of that, it must be good.
