Although the food feels kind of "chain-y," there's nothing better than bringing my canine along for a nice summer meal on the patio, complete with doggy dessert.
If you'd like to indulge in a $7 latte, I think I'd recommend that it's worth it here.

Delightful may boast some delicious pastries, cakes and a stellar tea list (alongside some amazing seasonal eggnog), but don't go for the service. They kick you out if you're sitting at a table too long and the owner possesses anything but Midwestern charm. However, if I still go back for the cake knowing all of that, it must be good.
One of rarities that Chicagoans experience that other big city-dwellers don't is a HUGE river running through the city. There are few things better than sitting alongside it at an Irish pub with a beer in your hands. As long as it's summer.
The best summer day is spent on the Big Star patio with awesome tacos, even better beer, and even better whiskey. And even better better people watching.
