Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Celebrate the Fourth of July on the wild side during Red, White and ZOO at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens July 4 and 5 from 9am to 3pm. The event will include live music, games, food, children's crafts, face-painting, magic, a water slide, zoo animal encounters and a watermelon-eating contest. Admission is $10.95 for ages 13 and up, $6.95 for ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and under.

NASCAR fans can watch their favorite race-car drivers zoom around the track at the Daytona International Speedway during the 51st Annual Coke Zero 400. The event will be celebrating Richard Petty "The King's" 25th anniversary of his historic 200th NASCAR win. Petty will be driving a replica number 43 STP Pontiac pace-car prior to the race. The event will also include a fireworks display. Individual ticket prices are $40-$140.

The free early Independence Day celebration features live entertainment, a 25-minute fireworks display synchronized with patriotic tunes and today's hits, children's activities, food and beverages and vendors.
