Donuts in Los Angeles

Bob's Coffee & Donuts

6333 W 3rd St Ste 450, Los Angeles, CA 90036

Good ol' Bob really knows a thing or two about good old-fashioned donuts. This famous Farmers Market stand produces more than a thousand of the carb-filled treats every day, as well as cinnamon rolls, apple fritters and bear claws. No matter what you order, you're sure to leave happy, if not a little heavier.

Donut Man

915 E Route 66, Glendora, CA 91740

We've all sung about about the muffin man, but the Donut Man is the guy who's getting all the action. This cash-only donut stand draws legions of fans to a stretch of old Route 66 with warm glazed donuts that are topped with everything from candy sprinkles to mounds of fresh fruit.

Stan's Corner Donut Shoppe

10948 Weyburn Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024

It's hard to resist a place that refers to itself as a "shoppe" and Stan's is no exception. Around since 1965, this place is a must for unusual versions like the famed Reese's Peanut Butter Pocket, pretzel-shaped donuts and coconut jelly as well as more tame variations. Even better, a second location in Thousand Oaks has opened.

Randy's Donuts

805 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301

The most iconic donut shop in Los Angeles, if not the entire state of California, this architecturally arresting joint just off the 405 freeway is where natives and tourists go for some serious carb-loading. Its latest big-screen appearance was with Robert Downey, Jr. in "Iron Man 2."

Rockenwagner

1121 Abbot Kinney Blvd # 5, Venice, CA 90291

If you're looking for a sublime jelly-filled donut experience, then this bakery adjacent to Three Square Cafe is where you need to be. Fresh, fluffy, softly-sugared donuts ooze with just enough raspberry jelly. They're the perfect accompaniment to a Julius Meinl coffee, espresso, cappuccino or tea.

Wendy Donuts

4000 Lincoln Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

This donut shop inside a nondescript strip mall might look like some flavorless pit stop, but as the old adage goes: Don't judge a donut shop by its cover. The chocolate glazed raised versions and maple logs here absolutely melt in your mouth. We dare you to eat just one.

Zelda's Corner Deli

9 Westminster Ave, Venice, CA 90291

This friendly little sandwich shop just off the Venice Boardwalk is where to get the famed mini donuts that come piping hot out of the fryer and thrown into a brown paper bag. Best of all, you can get a dozen of the treats for just $3 or 30 for $6.

Westside Tavern

10850 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064

Big puffy balls of dough piled high in a bowl are what you get at this tavern inside the Westside Pavilion. The donuts are served alongside two dipping sauces--raspberry coulis and chocolate sauce. It's $9 of pure sugar heaven.

Samba Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge

1000 Universal Studios Blvd, Universal City, CA 91608

Donuts at a steakhouse? Oh yeah. This Brazilian churrascaria might lure in City Walkers with its scantily-clad girl dancers and swords of freshly 'cued meats, but it's the delicious melt-in-your-mouth homemade donuts that will keep you coming back for more.
