We think nightlife--and the democratic process--is a beautiful thing. Now's the time to make your voice heard and VOTE for your go-to watering holes for Boston's Best of Citysearch 2009 before July 29. Sing your praises for your steadfast hole-in-the-wall dive, rock music club, perfect-pint pub, martini lounge ... you get our drift. May the best tipples win. Here are some of my personal picks.

[Best After-Work Bar] A favorite of the unpretentious crew despite its proximity to hoity 'hoods, the Delux hosts boisterous after-work crowds on most every night of the week. Many nosh on overstuffed quesadillas and warm bowls of homemade chili along with their beer (popular choice: Schlitz tallboys).
[Best Hotel Bar] This sensual, intimately cozy 40-seater in the renovated Copley Square Hotel is a perfect stopover for clinking cocktail or wineglasses. With upscale potables, $2 kobe miniburger post-work specials and cheeky menu items like sunchips and playing cards (get it?), the loungey spot remains (for now) a Back Bay hidden gem.
[Best DJs] This is a foolproof place to dip into on every night of the week. Rotating residencies and DJs flit through the minimalist, matches-any-hipster, reconfigurable lounge, bringing guests to closed-eye bliss with minimal techno, vintage French pop or feel-good party electro.
[Best Dive Bar] This subterranean haven manages the straddle the line between dive bar, sports bar and college bar, admittedly not going to any extreme, but somehow melding all good things into one holy trinity. Ultra cheap drinks, cash-only mechanics, endearingly cramped spacing and greasy-delicious sliders ensure hijinks of the extreme let-your-hair-down ilk.
