It's all about the games people play. With the advent of fantastically powerful home gaming consoles and custom gamer PC's, the arcade experience has went from the only way, to just one of the many ways to challenge human and machine in pixel powered pugilism and coin-operated combat. If it's good and digitized - GP will include it.

Batcade

Fairly nifty batting cage tucked away between a semi-commercial / residential zone. They are not about steady maintenance on the machines, but if there's and issue a refund is not a problem. Good mix of shooters, and a few classic games.

Gameworks

Stuffed in the Mall. Prices are pricey, but it's a ok venue with two levels and lots of things to try. It's a kinder, gentler, arcade safe for the family, but only a few steps up above a Chuck E Cheese.

My favorite arcade. Known widely as a Street Fighter 'cade for the many tournaments held there. Intimate, but not crowded - and the games are well service by the owner.

Get a taste of gaming in the land of the rising sun with this one-of-a-kind arcade here filled with DDR's , imports and rares. (Even if you need a translator for that last sentence - you could still have a good time.) Not large and park in the mall to keep more secure after hours, but don't let that stop you.

Pickwick Bowl & Pro Shop

It's been a while since I've been here, so it looks like I'm due for a field trip back. It was renovating a little last I was there which is usually a good indication of more modern games at contemporary prices.

Video West Arcade

If you love the classics, this is where you will find yourself if you venture to the city Glendale. Kept neat and functional with soda on tap for adults and teens alike. A nice stop over place.

Westwood Arcade

It's a college hang-out in Westwood Village, stone's throw from UCLA. Very quaint so be sociable, and bring your A-game some of the best are known to play here, but if you can catch'em during finals week - you might have a chance to win.
