Where to Hang Out

Chatter Box Pub

2229 E 35th St, Minneapolis, MN 55407

Now with three locations, the '80s-inspired pub offers local brews, cheap eats and plenty of gaming fun. Whether it's an old-school Battleship clash or a retro Nintendo duel, the Chatterbox is a veritable basement of dude-worthy good times.

Nook

492 Hamline Ave S, St Paul, MN 55116

Ever since this place was featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", guys have been lining up for the cheap beer and saucer-sized burgers. Fridays include a free taco bar from 3pm-5pm, but it's the deals on beer and wings (20 for $16.95) that leave dudes salivating every day of the week.

Strip Club Meat & Fish

378 Maria Ave, St. Paul, MN 55106

Hey, get your mind out of the gutter! This Strip Club is all about the meat, er, beef, er, great steaks. In fact, it's all about healthy and fresh grass-fed ,locally grown giant strips of meat at this St. Paul joint that's truly a gentlemen's club. Vegetarians be warned: They have something for you--locally grown asparagus, perhaps--but you may be mocked at this king-of-meats steakhouse.

Prestons Urban Pub

221 Cedar Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55454

Monday nights at this Seven Corner's college bar are all about fish-bowl beers on tap, cheap wings and Jaeger shots. Dudes can get choose from 25 draft beers at half-price, get Preston's super spicy wings for only a quarter and Jaeger shots for just $2.50.

Happy Gnome

498 Selby Ave, St Paul, MN 55102

This cozy neighborhood bar features more than 200 bottled beers from all over the world and nearly 50 beers?including the best in local brews?on tap. The outdoor patio makes for a great place for after-work celebrations and guy get-togethers. And the Fireshouse room--with a fireplace, of course--makes it easy to down a cold one on winter days.

Matt's Bar

3500 Cedar Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407

Home of the Juicy Lucy--that's a giant burger filled with molten cheese--locals flock here for the laid-back atmosphere, oozing burgers and cheap cans of Pabst. There are no dude-specific deals here, but the classic Juicy Lucy is always only $4.95. It doesn't really get more Minnesotan than a paneled bar filled with PBR cans and the scent of fried onions.
