Exceptional cuisine made with mostly, locally-sourced ingredients. The diner part is almost an oxymoron. Known as much for its cuisine as it is for its stellar beer and wine selections, a full liquor bar is now being offered. Juices are squeezed fresh and cocktail creations are as delicious as the dishes served at this 24 hour joint.
A new chef is bringing new menu items, but more importantly this little red house on Manor Road has added a new, late-night happy hour and a new list of fabulous cocktails. Sip on a Miss Kitty, Tumbleweed or the House Punch in the laid back lounge or outdoors on the back patio.
Austin legend Willie Nelson shook thing up recently with the opening of Austin's newest live music venue. Housed in the W Hotel, this new venue is now the home to the Austin City Limits studios. In the adjacent Moody Theater, expect to find big-time acts such as Janet Jackson, John Mellencamp and more.
Movers and shakers in the cocktail world come here for well-crafted cocktails and good beers on tap. Classic cocktails on the menu include the French 75, Moscow Mule and Sidecar; six beers on tap feature local favorites such as Live Oak and 512.
Lead barman Billy Hankey is shaking things up behind the bar at David Bull's newest addition to Congress Avenue. Must-have cocktail creations include the Gin + Jam, made with Citadelle gin and Billy's seasonal preserves and the Pilgrim's Afternoon, composed of white port, Clear Creek cranberry seltzer and citrus.
