The best restaurant in town, and some say this side of Manhattan, offers plenty of decadent ambiance and palate-pleasing award-winning dishes that are sure to inspire romance and happy hearts. W Minneapolis The Foshay

821 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55402

The newly renovated and visually stunning Foshay Tower houses one of the hippest and contemporary hotels in all the Midwest. Best of all, the W caters to your every need, offering in-room spa services like massages, manicures, facials and more. And because the hotel caters to the weekday business traveler, it's offering weekend nights for around $189.

Hotel Ivy, Minneapolis

201 South Eleventh Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403

This sleek, hip, and modern hotel offers weekend specials and deals, like the ?Taste of Luxury? package that gives guests a $50 credit for dinner at the hotel's award-winning restaurant, Porter and Frye. (Room rates start at $199 a night.) Couples can enjoy a dinner fit for fickle foodies, a concert at Orchestra Hall down the street, and a night in luxury for as much as one ticket to New York would cost.

The Westin Minneapolis

88 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402

Located in the famous Farmers and Mechanics Bank building, the Westin offers weekend renewal spa packages starting at around 150 bucks, a perfect indulgent and romantic getaway for two. The hotel has been redecorated to reflect the minimalist post-War design of the era, although things like a double-headed shower and Earth-friendly spa packages make it totally modern. And the hotel restaurant, BANK, is a favorite hot spot for cool drinks and warm vibes.

W.a. Frost & Company

374 Selby Ave, St Paul, MN 55102

With tin ceilings, dark woodwork, flickering fireplaces, exposed brick and old-world Victorian charm, W.A. Frost is one of the most romantic restaurants in town. The restaurant's American-European fusion menu--featuring local and seasonal foods--is always excellent and sure to inspire plenty of warm, romantic feelings. The W.A. Frost tasting menu runs $55 a person, or $90 with wine pairings.

1600 W Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55408

This French restaurant in Uptown offers romance, fun and indulgence in equal measure. You don't have to splurge to enjoy Barbette's French offerings. Split the famous papas fritas and an order of fondue, and save your money for kir royals and a bottle or two of French wine. The dark lighting and French decor provide plenty of ambiance to turn your evening into a toe-tickling night on the town.
