I'm a smart, savvy, entertainment-guru gal who loves Seattle, and needed to find my true love to marry and live happily ever after with, in Seattle. I've made a decade-long study of the best places to meet the "best guys" in town.
Along the journey, I found and noted many places where "if I were 50," I would need to go to find a great, eligible guy. Yes, I actually DO know what I'm talking about. These are the places that I stumbled across in my journey that are really for women in their 50s. Here is my list.
Good luck, and don't forget to invite me to your wedding!

Ladies, I know you are frightened by this. Don't be. There are so very many 50-something men in this club. Many have the same story as you -- divorced a year ago, kids now in college, great job, looking to marry someone to spend the rest of a lifetime together. Or, widowed 3 years ago, same story. You just have to go to the events that attract them. Such as: hikes, bike rides, nights out at the symphony, the Paramount, cooking classes, wine tastings. Yes, the 50-something eligible man does exist. He is here, waiting for you to get off your duff, and be brave enough to join a club that also happens to have some people who are younger than you here. You gotta problem with that? :) He's looking for those who are active, and who he can relate to, intellectually. If that means you, C'mon out and have some fun, for goodness sakes. It's better than knitting and Tivo, I promise.
There are plenty of 50-something men who join this matchmaking service. Ask Alma, who runs the service, which of them would be interested in you. I happen to know that she has been responsible for marriage in Seattle. How can you argue with success?
LOTS of 50 something men in this club. Dozens of them single. Low cost, not much to lose here. Yes, they expect you to really really be self sufficient and adequately low maintenance on the mountain. Yes, you will be required to actually hike a mountain without assistance. You gotta problem with that? Then this place is not for you. Too bad, because there are an awful lot of 50 something men in this club, and there are enough of them that are single. If I were 50, I'd do this (in addition to Events and Adventures).
At either the Daniel's in Seattle or Bellevue, Dress nicely and sit at the bar, near the piano. Those airline pilots, tech guys, boat owners and CEOs are all here. They appreciate a nice looking 50-something woman who is interesting, demure and has a nice smile. If that is your style, it's worth a look.
I only recommend China Harbor for the fact that it is the regular meeting place for the Seattle Singles Yacht Club, a place that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for ladies 50 or over to meet eligible great guys in their 50s and 60s. 50-something men often love yachts. The men in this club are single, and they want to share their passion for sailing with women in their 50s. You need to come out and have an adventure. The SSYC meets every Monday evening (except on holidays), at 7:30 at China Harbor. Casual members pay $10.00 at the door for entry; $15 on dance nights. Annual membership is $150. You can remain a casual member as long as you wish. Annual membership is intended to accommodate those who attend nearly every week. Registration begins at 7:00 p.m. The meeting program begins at 7:30. There is no charge for boat trips!
