Houston Pie Shops

Pie In The Sky Pie Co.

3600 N. Loop 336 West, Conroe, TX 77304

Owner Marlene Stubler went from selling pies at a gas station in Conroe to owning her own diner. Although Houston pie fanatics were happy to make the long journey north for a fix, the 40-minute drive will no longer be necessary thanks to a second location in the Heights. Seasonal pie selections range from sweet and tart peach to classic buttermilk.

Ooh La La: The Dessert Boutique

23920 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy, TX 77494

The cupcakes get a lot of attention from fans of this boutique bakery in Katy, but customers shouldn't neglect the equally delicious pie. Pecan, cherry and the more unusual bread pudding pie are available whole or by the slice.

Flying Saucer Pie

436 W Crosstimbers St, Houston, TX 77018

For 40 years, this no-frills pie shop in Independence Heights has had people waiting in long lines outside the door for their share of strawberry cream and apple pie.

Oh My Pocket Pies

1005 St Emanuel St, Houston, TX 77003

Hand-sized pockets of savory and sweet fillings are perfect for the pie lover on the run. Mini chicken, veggie, s?more and fruit pies are sold out of this roaming food truck that often makes stops in the Heights and downtown.

House Of Pies Restaurant

3112 Kirby Dr, Houston, TX 77098

Despite its increasingly shabby interior, House of Pies has not yet faded out of relevance. Filled with the senior set, the inebriated and the hungover, it's exactly the kind of place you want to sate an unhealthy craving for early morning or late night strawberry-rhubarb pie, always with a cup of coffee.
