This trendy indie espresso bar is the perfect place to meet your online match. A cup of coffee and a chat is a good way to find out quickly if you're compatible. Sit down with a chai or signature latte. Stay for a grilled cheese sandwich or an order of hummus if the chemistry is clicking.
The original Mockingbird location is a local landmark. Kennedy assassination figure Jack Ruby is said to have hung out in the corner booth. More importantly, the dining room is dark, which is good for either masking flaws or getting romantic. The pizza isn't bad either.
Go here if dollars don't matter. It's been around for more than 35 years and has a long history of romance. Candles, murals and faux grape clusters give the dining room an Old World charm. The famed baked brie served with honey, nuts and fresh fruit is a must-order menu item.
This small theater serves dinner and drinks while you watch the show. The food isn't spectacular but the entertainment is usually great fun, especially the ?popcorn melodramas? when audiences are invited to launch popcorn at the stage.
