We love our Washington, D.C., restaurants but what we love even more is restaurant deals at our favorite spots around town. Sometimes a deal just means dirt-cheap food, but other times it means serious discounts on some seriously fancy eats. Whether it's 25 cent bar food or $10 food and drink pairings from a celebrity chef, we've rounded up some of the best restaurant discounts and deals in the district. Enjoy lunch at the bar at this Pennsylvania Avenue restaurant between 11:30am and 3pm, Monday through Friday, and get a glass of wine and an entree for $15; choose from upscale lunch staples such as salads, burgers and spaghetti. At dinner, try a two-course meal with two wine pairings for just $35--available nightly.
Citysearch fan Robin K. loves the $20 Sunday Suppers at this Crystal City Italian restaurant. The special runs from 3pm to 9pm and includes a three-course meal served family-style. "The food is amazing for that price," she says. Check out the Sunday mid-day lunch special too: Order two cocktails and choose from a selection of entrees for just $2.
Celebrity chef Art Smith cooked for Oprah before opening this Capitol Hill restaurant and appearing on "Top Chef Masters." Try some of his Southern specialties--such as pork rinds and fried green tomatoes--paired with a drink for just $10 during the restaurant's happy hour from 4pm to 7pm, Monday through Thursday.
"Hands down Restaurant Eve's Lunch Deal is the best in town," says Citysearch Dictator Adam A. The "Lickity Split" menu is good at the bar and lounge from 11:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. For $13.50, diners get a choice of any two items on the menu, which includes everything from risotto to birthday cake.
During happy hour, which is from 4pm to 7pm every day, this sleek Chinatown restaurant offers some of its most popular dim sum dishes--including the pineapple-topped chicken puff and the sweet and savory char sui bun--for just $3 a piece. Paired with one of its exotic martinis for just $5, it's one of the best restaurant deals in D.C. Go early--the deals are limited to the bar area only.
"Early dinner and drinks for about $10? Done and done," says Citysearch fan Gillet G. During happy hour at this K Street seafood spot--which runs from 3:30pm to 7pm and 10pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday, and 3:30pm to 7pm on Friday--enjoy appetizers for as low as $1.95 in the bar area with a $3.50 minimum drink purchase.
Score a featured pasta dish, a glass of wine and sorbet for just $15 at this downtown Italian restaurant when you sit at the bar during lunch, Monday through Friday, from 11:30am to 2pm. That's quite a deal from chef Nicholas Stefanelli, one of D.C.'s rising culinary stars.
During happy hour from 4pm to 7pm, Monday through Friday, enjoy $4 and $5 food and drink specials in the bar of this Bethesda restaurant. Tuesdays feature live blues, and go for the live Latin jazz on Wednesdays.
