Metropolitan Grill

Feel like a high-roller when you hit up one of the most popular happy hours (Mon.-Fri., 3-6pm) in the downtown area. The Metropolitan Grill offers three $3 options, including a plate of beef sliders, beer-boiled prawns and oyster shooters. The rest of the menu runs $6 apiece'the most popular is their signature burger with melted cheddar, Swiss and caramelized onions.

Elliott's Oyster House

1201 Alaskan Way, Pier 56, Seattle, WA 98101

Love bivalves? Elliot's Oyster House's ?Progressive Oyster Happy Hour? is the one of the best bar deals in town. Starting at 3pm on weekdays, a selection (usually an option of two varieties) of oysters go on sale for 50 cents each. The price goes up by 25 cents with each half hour that passes. (Don't leave without trying their rich and creamy oyster stew.) Happy Hour runs Mon.-Fri. from 3-6pm.

Mistral Kitchen

2020 Westlake Ave, Seattle, WA 98121

Mistral Kitchen offers one of the classiest happy hours (daily from 5pm-6:30pm) in town, with excellent $6 cocktails and $5 plates like lamb meatballs in harissa-tomato sauce, pizza from their wood-burning oven and their daily crudo.

Dinette offers simple, Euro-inspired food, and our favorite pick on their happy hour menu (daily from 4pm-6:30pm) is the $3 slices of silky chicken liver toast with pickled peppers. Some of the cheapest drinks in town can be had here too'try the $3 sangria or the $3.50 glasses of wine.

The Chapel

Get your buzz on at Chapel Bar, where you can get a martini for a mere $5 from Monday through Thursday, 5pm-9pm and from midnight til close. The same deal runs all day Sunday, for those who like to party in their Sunday best.

Zig Zag Cafe

If you're into cocktails, you've probably heard of Murray Stenson, who single handedly revived a number of Prohibition-era drinks, and was recently voted Bartender of the Year by his peers at the Tales of the Cocktail conference. Happy Mondays at Art of the Table are one of the lesser-known deals in town: The wine is inexpensive ($26/bottle, $5/glass), and the plates that come out of the kitchen are dependent on what's in season. Past dishes have included celeriac soup, caramelized Brussels sprouts with pistachios and truffle oil and St. Jude tuna with pickled cabbage and sweet cippolini onions.
