Sometimes you just need to let loose with the boys and have a guys night out in D.C. Whether you're planning a bachelor party or just a much-needed outing with the boys, a successful guy's night out in Washington hinges on a few key details: strong drinks, great beer, delicious food and plenty of games--whether to watch or play. Specials don't hurt, either. While we can't promise a night that ends with Zach Galifianakis stealing a tiger from Mike Tyson's house, we can provide ideas for a guys night out that will merit the next-day hangover.

Pizza and beer is a no-fail combination, especially at Paradiso's Georgetown location, where the downstairs Birreria offers a great selection of micro and handcrafted brews. You'll find 16 beers on draft and 200 more bottled varieties, perfect for washing down the Neopolitan pies.
Adam R. heads to this Logan Circle beer bar for a dude-tastic time that is a bit classier than wings and Bud Light. Guys gravitate to this spot for its selection of more than 500 beers (always 50 on draft) served in one of 15 different glasses for optimal flavor. But make no mistake: With its dim chandelier lighting, rich booths and gourmet bar grub, this is an upscale (but still casual) joint for a guys night out.
Citysearch fan Ryan B. loves this downtown spot for the food and drink specials and plentiful TVs for catching a game. Check the events tab on the Bottom Line website for its famous daily specials; on Wednesdays enjoy a free taco bar with the purchase of alcohol, which includes $3 Corona and margaritas.
Citysearch Dictator Krista L. knows that dudes love this downtown cigar parlor for kicking back with a cocktail and something off the cigar menu: "Sure to be the best way to start off your evening!" she says. Seconds Robin K.: "Every time I go there I'm the only female--definitely a guy's bar!" An air purification system keeps ambient smoke to a minimum, and humidity controlled private lockers provide a place to store your cigars for future use.
"Rocket Bar is pretty manly," says Citysearch fan Faith H. of this underground Chinatown bar known for its games such as Skee-Ball, darts and shuffleboard. "It's quite the dude bar," adds Pamster S. Another bonus? Patrons can bring in their own carryout food, since Rocket Bar does not have a kitchen. Hit up Matchbox, Chipotle or Potbelly beforehand and get the grub to go.
"My guy friends are big fans of Iron Horse, says Citysearch fan Sheridan M. Valerie N. describes it as Rocket Bar's "newer, less-smelly sibling." To find the Gallery Place biker-themed bar with games, plentiful TVs and an impressive draft and craft beer selection, look for motorcycles in the windows.
Citysearch fan Ricky S. loves that there's a revolutionary digital driving range, full bar and food menu at this Alexandria spot. Top Golf is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, so round up the guys for a digital round and then drinks on the patio.
A good bet for cocktail connoisseurs, this bar near Mt. Vernon Square mixes drinks as classic as they come under the direction of D.C. cocktail guru Derek Brown. Combined with a hot dog-themed menu (the kimchi is a favorite), what more could the guys want?
If guy's night out includes man-hunting, then this U Street gay-friendly sports bar is the place to go. With a packed roof deck, themed nights with Texas Hold' Em and drag bingo and a "Beat the Clock" happy hour, there's always something to keep you and the gang entertained.
