Hot Restaurant and Bar Deals in Los Angeles

Mirabelle

8768 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069

This family-owned Mediterranean eatery has been a landmark on the Sunset Strip for 40 years. The daily happy hour (yes, even on weekends!) takes place from 4pm to 7pm and offers a generous selection of food and drink for $5---including a heaping bowl of steamed mussels and strong mojitos.

Little Dom's

2128 Hillhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027

Sister restaurant to Dominick's in West Hollywood, Little Dom's may be the younger sibling, but it's plenty big on taste. Monday nights offer a three-course prix-fixe for $15, with selections changing weekly. Add a bottle of house "Dago" red or white for another $12 or a $3 Peroni on tap.

Cast

1819 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Located off the lobby of the tony Viceroy hotel, Whist serves up Daily Five bento box lunches, with themed meals for each day of the work week inspired by everything from Cape Cod (lobster rolls and clam chowder) to New York delis (corned beef on rye, chicken noodle soup), plus various sides. Each is priced at $16 and includes complimentary valet parking. Add a glass of house Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon for another $10.

Mccormick & Schmick's

633 W 5th St, Los Angeles, CA 90071

The happy hour at this downtown enclave for slumming-it suits and thrifty assistants is legendary for its $2.95 half-pound burgers. Sides such as garlic cheese fries or red pepper hummus will only set you back another couple of bucks. The happy hour deal, possibly the longest in Los Angeles, runs from 3pm to 10pm.

Backstage Bar & Grill

10400 Culver Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232

This dark neighborhood dive draws a mix of studio workers and starving artists with its daily happy hour offering $2 domestic beers, $3 well drinks and half-off appetizers. It runs from 4pm to 8pm daily; stick around for karaoke, trivia or live music afterward.

Chez Melange

1611 S Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

A local favorite for almost 30 years, this friendly fusion restaurant is lesser known outside the South Bay. The Monday night "trust the chef" tasting menu is a great introduction; it's priced at $30 per person for five courses, which could include anything from truffled crab salad with pea tendrils to chicken liver pappardelle. Add optional wine pairings for $15 (that's four courses worth!), or BYOB free of charge. Reservations are required, and no substitutions are permitted.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

6373 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA 91367

You'll want to cheer "Two, four, six, eight, who do we appreciate?" for the "5-6-7" happy hour here. The menu features five wines by the glass, five cocktails and five appetizers for only $6 each until 7pm nightly. Additionally, the prime bacon cheese burger is a house favorite. Amstel Light is two for $6.
