"It's Italian food adjacent to a tapas bar. Great meeting place while enjoying Spain?s finest bite size dishes. The people are pretty and so are the prices."

Laugh Factory Hollywood
Read Reviews8001 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90046 (map)
"The shows are hilarious, why even the food tastes funny... You will see the best stand-up that money can buy. On any given night you are liable to see 'superstar' stand-ups from Damon Wayne to Dane Cook. Make sure you call ahead, because this place is harder to get into than heaven. However, greasing the doorman is best (especially if that door man is me!)."

La Parrilla
Read Reviews2126 Cesar Chavez Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90033 (map)
"The tortillas are fresh and the restaurant is clean. It is owned and operated by woman. This is not a hole in the wall. The word of mouth made this a hot spot for Latino celebs. The food is authentic and it's in the heart of East L.A. Don't let the negative publicity scare you away. It's a nice safe environment."

Apple Pan

"One of Los Angeles's oldest secrets. They have been making pies & burgers with little conversation at the same location since 1935. You can't last that long in Los Angeles without being absolutely delicious. It's a must for lunch!"

San Antonio Riverwalk
Read ReviewsRiverwalk, San Antonio, TX 78205 (map)
"This, all by itself, is worth a trip to San Antonio. There is everything you'll need all in one beautiful location. The Guadalupe River was where the first Spanish Padres began converting the natives, and it's where the mission of San Antonio De Bexar--who, by the way, was a Laker fan--was established. Enjoy this city. You will be back again and again until the court lets you off for good behavior... Bienviendos a mi San Antonio!"

La Margarita Restaurant
Read Reviews120 Produce Row, San Antonio, TX 78207 (map)
"Owned and operated by the Ortega family, who have clogging arteries with their restaurants for many generations. The restaurant has been a staple of fine Mexican food almost since Santa Ana ate there. A good look at them and you'll see there isn't a skinny one in the bunch. Adjacent to this restaurant is Mi Tierra Bakery. I swear by just walking through this bakery you can gain weight. Mucho fun! For all ages and for all hours, because it's open 24 hours a day."
