Dateless for Valentine's Day (or just not into the whole flowers-and-fancy-dinner routine)? No problem--there are plenty of ways to observe the Hallmark holiday without a romantic meal or overpriced roses. Gather a group of your friends and celebrate Anti-Valentine's Day 2011 in Los Angeles.

Think love is for the birds? Birds' annual Anti-Valentine's Day party returns this year with special cocktails, voodoo dolls (bring along a photo of an ex for inspiration), prizes for the best "getting dumped" stories and awesome songs about heartbreak, loving and losing. The party starts at 8pm on Monday, February 14, and there's no cover to get inside.
Getting your heart broken isn't funny, but listening to stories of other people's relationship woes--now that's hilarious. Head to Upright Citizens Brigade on Monday, February 14 for the ?Valentine's Day Singles Mixer,? a Valentine's Day-themed improv show based on the audience's cringe-inducing love stories. Bring your best bad date stories or tales of unrequited love and watch the cast act them out. $5 cover; the show starts at 11pm.
We can't help you get naked over Valentine's Day weekend, but you can see a little artistic nudity at Watson Adventure's humorous ?Naked at the Getty? scavenger hunt. Teams of two to six people will solve entertaining, tricky clues to lead them to works of art around the museum that feature nudity. There are two hunts on Saturday, February 12, at 1pm and 4:30pm and one on Sunday, February 13, at 1pm. Tickets are $24.50 at watsonadventures.com and must be purchased in advance (there's also a $15-per-car fee to park at the Getty).
If a recent breakup left you single and NOT ready to mingle, consider refuge from the sea of loved-up couples over Valentine's Day weekend with the W Westwood's ?New Year, New You? package. Your stay includes an Extreme Wow suite for up to four people, an unlimited supply of complimentary movies in your own screening room, a chocolate extravaganza, poolside cabana and ?Lift Your Spirits? cocktails. The package begins at $999 a night; call the hotel for details.
If your idea of romance includes Mexican wrestling, burlesque dancing and stand-up comedy, you'll love Lucha VaVoom's ?My Kinky Valentine? show at the Mayan on Wednesday, February 9 and Thursday, February 10. Expect saucy striptease artists, comedians including Patton Oswalt and Jeffrey Ross, and, of course, luchadores such as Dirty Sanchez, Lil Chicken and El Jimador. Tickets are $30-$65 at www.luchavavoom.com.
Bitter, party of one: Who says you need a date to take you to dinner on the Valentine's Day? Grab your best friend, treat yourselves to a meal on Main Street in Santa Monica, then take your receipt to Basement Tavern--guests who present a receipt from any Main Street restaurant between 5pm and closing time will receive a complimentary glass of champagne. After all, few things help heal a lovelorn heart like free booze.
Remember those embarrassing diary entries you wrote as a teenager in the throes of adolescent love? The performers at Mortified's "Doomed Valentine's Show" sure do, and they're willing to share them in all their gory, angst-filled glory. You'll laugh; you'll cry; you'll be glad you're no longer 16. The show starts at 8pm on February 14 at King King; tickets are $15 at www.getmortified.com.
