Monsieur Marcel Restaurant & Wine Bar
Read Reviews6333 W 3rd St (Farmers Market), Los Angeles, CA 90036 (map)
"A very 'homey' French restaurant in the Farmers Market that's outside (with heaters!). Fruit, wine, cheese and 'everything French' restaurant with French music and an extremely friendly staff. I come with a colleague of mine almost every day after work and they have our corner waiting for us!"

Mani's Bakery

"I go almost every morning and know everyone there! I've gotten my colleagues on the show hooked on their Acai granola and endless choices of coffee ... Costa Rican, Colombian, Hawaiian, etc. The food is organic and healthy but it doesn't taste like it (in a good way)! I always feel healthier when I leave."

"Live music--the staff sing and play the piano, and it's a very warm environment. Happy, lively waiters and amazing Italian food. I always take my dad when he comes to visit."

Le Pain Quotidien
Read Reviews8607 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069 (map)
"French restaurant that's actually a chain but feels like an independently-owned period cafe. Long wooden tables and an extensive cultural menu including many different bread plates--I'm a bread fiend! Relaxing, laid-back and authentic. A friend and I go about twice a week. I'm addicted!"

Serendipity 3
Read Reviews225 E 60th St, New York, NY 10022 (map)
"It's the most unique restaurant I've ever been to. Almost like a high-fashion attic, but very laid-back and casual. There is a variety of food choices and I highly recommend the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate - you won't believe it until you try it! There's usually a long wait but it's down the block from Bloomingdale's so I usually put my name on the list and go shopping."
