$20 Menu Picks for San Diego Restaurant Week

Mister Tiki

801 5TH Ave, San Diego, CA 92101

First-course selections include crispy shiitake and goat cheese wontons and beef short rib gyoza ? yum! For the main course, try the wasabi crusted filet medallions, and for dessert, it has to be Mister Tiki's famous tower of mousses with choices like rocky road and chocolate raspberry.

8650 Genesee Ave Ste 106, San Diego, CA 92122

Try Spanakopita (phyllo pastry with spinach and feta cheese), hummos, moussaka (casserole of eggplant, zucchini ground leg of lamb and bechamel sauce) and other Greek specialities during Restaurant Week's $20 menu special.

$30 Menu Picks for San Diego Restaurant Week

Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro

3940 4th Ave 110, San Diego, CA 92103

Get adventurous and try the $30, three-course meal full of slow-cooked meats and exotic spices at this this hidden Moroccan restaurant and lounge in Hillcrest.

La Bastide Bistro

10006 Scripps Ranch Blvd Ste 104, San Diego, CA 92131

It's one of the best restaurants in the suburbs, and to get three courses of this perfectly rustic French cuisine for just $30 is a steal.

Bleu Boheme

4090 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116

So French, but still really casual and fun, Bleu Boheme is a good date option for Restaurant Week. There are two entree options: Grilled pork hop (marinated in olive oil and herbs) or a half roasted rack of lamb with dijon mustard.

616 J St, San Diego, CA 92101

For all the foodies out there, Christian Graves' menu is THE one to try during restaurant week. They aren't even announcing the details too far in advance because his food is always local, seasonal, and changes often depending on what is the most fresh from the markets.

$40 Menu Picks for San Diego Restaurant Week

Grant Grill

326 Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101

The three-course dinner menu here for $40 will not dissppoint (especially with items like maple leaf duck breast with peaches, grapes, and lobster mushrooms on the menu), but be sure to check out the newly updated lounge area too, especially Wednesday and Thursday nights when they feature live jazz music.

A R Valentien

11480 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037

Just thinking about the potato leek soup and artisan charcuterie platter makes our mouths water. Then again, most everything we've ever eaten here has been divine!

1500 Ocean

1500 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118

This is the perfect place to try during Restaurant Week, because getting three courses for $40 is a steal here! The menu sounds divine, with seasonal, summery choices like compressed watermelon salad and raw Australian yellowtail crudo. then for entrees, I'd recommend the prime beef tasting with flat iron, braised short rib, creme fraiche potatoes, baby vegetables.

Savory Restaurant

267 N El Camino Real Ste A-B, Encinitas, CA 92024

Our best advice during Restaurant Week: Go places that you wouldn't otherwise try because of the price. Savory is one of those places. To get three courses for $40 here is a great deal, and the menu sounds amazing: Beet salads, scallop risotto with artichokes, crab meat crusted sea bass, duck confit, and a peach fruit crisp (peaches are so good right now!) with vanilla gelato for dessert.
