Los Angeles Sports Bars

L.A. sports bars run the gamut from family-friendly eateries and quaint neighborhood pubs to rowdy dive bars and upscale sports lounges with more modern technology. There may not be a pro football team, but L.A. does boast the Lakers, the Clippers, the Dodgers, the Kings and some great college teams (USC, anyone?). Whether it's Hollywood, the Westside, the Valleys or the South Bay, get the scoop on where to watch the big game or main event. (Photo: Lakers fans at ESPN Zone, courtesy of ESPN Zone)

Los Angeles Sports Bars

Webers Place

19312 Vanowen St, Reseda, CA 91335

Webers would be an anomaly just about anywhere--a former dive bar with VIP seating and even (gasp!) bottle service. It stands out even more so in the West Valley, but considering the 20 HD flat-screen TVs, digital satellite, 18 brews on tap, and expansive menu--complete with several New Orleans-inspired dishes--it works. Plus, there's nightly live music for after the game.

Yankee Doodles (Santa Monica)

1410 Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Proving that the Promenade is for more than just shopping, this gigantic Santa Monica sports bar boasts more than 40 TVs of various sizes, plus 28 pool tables, an arcade and three private party rooms. And it's not just the usual stuff either--the bar televises hockey, boxing and more.

Big Wangs

1562 N Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028

Bringing outrageous action to an otherwise A-List neighborhood known more for velvet ropes and guest lists, Big Wangs is a little piece of country kitsch in the Cahuenga Corridor. Four 60-inch screens--in addition to 20-plus smaller TVs (nothing less than 40 inches)--entertain the fans who enjoy wolfing down the signature chicken "wangs," along with sliders, dips and fries.

ESPN Zone

1011 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

More like a sports compound, this family-friendly eatery boasts two full floors for sports lovers to spread out and soak up the 100-plus HD mega-TVs, plus 45 interactive arcade games. For food, there's wings, pizza and build-your-own burgers. Plus, Staples Center is right across the street.

Cock N Bull British Pub

2947 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405

It's no secret that ex-pat Brits love Santa Monica. It's lesser known, however, that this is the place to be for Premier League rugby and soccer fans. The pub opens super early (sometimes around 4:30am!) so you can catch the games played across the pond live on LCD screens and in hi-def on the 135-inch projector screen.
