Say "I love you" at 3,000 feet. The price for two includes champagne and breathtaking views of North Texas countryside at sunrise or sunset. Other than sprouting wings, it's probably the closest you'll get to being a bird for an hour. Save $60 if you book the Valentine's Day special.
The retro-cool Belmont Hotel designed by noted architect Charles Dilbeck offers one of the best views of the Dallas skyline and a romantic getaway in the city's heart. Book the Fools Rush in Romance package which includes a suite, bottle of champagne, sweets, candles and breakfast in bed for $350 on weekends and $325 during weekdays.
Though not known for its natural beauty, Dallas does offer the intrepid urban explorer a few scenic outdoor adventures. One of the lesser known is a guided canoe trip on the Trinity River. Trips are available the second Saturday of each month and are $45 per person. All trips meet at 8:30am.
Open for lunch Monday through Friday, this restaurant and special event space is a popular spot for weddings and receptions. Dining room windows overlook a romantic, intimate garden that one might subtly hint would be ideal for a June ceremony.
