Perhaps the most beloved stretch in Venice, Abbot Kinney Boulevard strays from the wacky nature of nearby Muscle Beach yet maintains its place as a must-see hub of action. Lined with trendy boutiques, sidewalk cafes, fun bars and top-rated restaurants, this boho-beachy neighborhood caters to couples, friends and groups looking for a cool way to spend a day and/or night on the outskirts of L.A.'s inner urban circle.

Simple in name and look, this AK favorite is chef/owner Joe Miller's ode to French-flecked Cali cuisine. If you usually can't afford a gourmet dinner, stop by and order prix fixe or head over for the Sunday brunch. (Just make a rezzie--this place packs 'em in.)
This classic Venice Beach bistro tantalizes newcomers and regulars with its eye-popping 3D artwork, simple French dishes, window-side tables made out of giant wine barrels and one of the most popular back-room patios on the street.
This low-lit modern space might have a boxer for a logo, but it's all good in this neighborhood. The laidback vibe makes it an obvious choice for a weeknight cocktail with friends. Even better, you can count on its parking lot hosting any number of food trucks just about every night of the week.
